BREAKING | Jeremain Lens to continue his career at Beşiktaş!

Breaking news coming from The Netherlands, where widely respected football authority ‘Voetbal International’ are reporting that Jeremain Lens will continue his career at Beşiktaş.

“VI” write that despite spending this past season out on loan at Fenerbahçe, Lens has opted to join their arch-rivals and reigning Turkish Champions Beşiktaş instead despite Fenerbahçe being interested in a permanent move for him aswell.

Lens made 38 appearances across all competitions for Fenerbahçe last season, scoring 5 goals and providing 17 assists. He has been capped 34 times for The Netherlands, scoring 8 goals.

Jeremain Lens is currently under contract with Sunderland, who were relegated from the English Premier League last season. Lens started the pre-season preperations with Sunderland, leaving a solid impression in friendlies but was omitted from the squad the other day (probably due to his pending move to Beşiktaş).

beIN Sports Türkiye reported yesterday that Jeremain Lens had reached a personal agreement with Beşiktaş, however Voetbal International are not referencing this or any other Turkish sources. Which suggests that they have this from their own sources (Lens or perhaps his agent?).
