Just like last season’s edition of the Champions League, Beşiktaş will travel to Portugal on the opening matchday. This time they face last season’s runners-up in Portugal: FC Porto. The club of Vincent Aboubakar. Aboubakar will not be eligible to play however, as he is still serving a suspension following his red card against Olympiakos in the Europa League last season while playing for the Black Eagles.
