Beşiktaş exacted their sportive revenge on Konyaspor for the Super Cup defeat in August by beating the Anatolian eagles with a comfortable 2-0 scoreline.

The Black Eagles took an early lead through Cenk Tosun, as he headed home a sublime Caner Erkin cross from the left: 1-0 after just 10 minutes. Caner with his 5th assist already this season in just 7 official games. One of the main highlights of the first half occured when Ferhat Özturan pulled the emergency break as Ricardo Quaresma was through on goal for a clear-cut scoring opportunity, but the referee somehow decided it only warranted a yellow card. The resulting freekick led nowhere.

Cenk Tosun has scored 6 goals in his last 5 encounters with Konyaspor.

Konyaspor made several tactical chagnes at halftime in an attempt to salvage atleast a point, but while they looked more up to the task a goal or true goal scoring opportunity stayed out so Mustafa Reşit Akçay put on some more offensive talent around the hour mark with Eren Albayrak and Musa Araz. But it was Beşiktaş who would strike next, Ricardo Quaresma rolled up the Konyaspor defense with a trenemdous solo effort and beat Serkan with a lightning bolt of a shot at the near post to put the 2-0 scoreline on the board after 66 minutes.

A two goal deficit was enough to secure the victory as Konyaspor were unable to get through the Beşiktaş defense, despite mounting a last minute offense. With this win the Black Eagles now have 13 points out of a possible 15 and head in to the next matchday as joint-leaders at the top. Up next for Beşiktaş is a difficult away match against Fenerbahçe.
