Beşiktaş have shattered multiple Turkey-specific European records this season, aswell as their own club specific records. Here is a closer look at the impressive washlist of accomplishments Senol Güneş and his men gathered so far this season.

First Turkish club to…

1-) Beşiktaş have become the first ever Turkish club to finish an UEFA Champions League groupstage campaign as group leaders. It should also be noted that Beşiktaş were drawn from pot 3, they bested the likes of last season’s semi-finalist AS Monaco, Bundesliga runners-up RB Leipzig and former Champions League winners FC Porto.

2-) Beşiktaş have become the first Turkish club to win the opening 3 matches of an UEFA Champions League (groupstage) campaign.

3-) Beşiktaş have become the first ever Turkish club to win all 3 of their UEFA Champions League groupstage away matches.

4-) Beşiktaş have become the first ever Turkish club to finish an UEFA Champions League groupstage campaign undefeated. And they’re one of only 4 teams to do so this season in the entire campaign (Beşiktaş, Liverpool, Tottenham, Barcelona).

5-) Beşiktaş have become the highest scoring Turkish club in a single UEFA Champions League groupstage campaign (11 goals scored).

6-) With 4 wins Beşiktaş have become the Turkish club with the highest amount of victories in a single UEFA Champions League groupstage campaign (previous record were 3 wins, shared by Fenerbahçe (2007-2008) and Galatasaray (2000-2001, 2012-2013).

7-) With 14 points Beşiktaş have become the Turkish club with the highest amount of points gathered in a single UEFA Champions League groupstage campaign (previous record was 11 points, held by Fenerbahçe  dating back to the 2007-2008 season).

The only noteworthy remaining record Beşiktaş are yet to improve on is the least amount of goals conceded in a single UEFA Champions League groupstage campaign, currently held by Galatasaray (4, during the 2001-2002 season).
