Besiktas have sold off defender Matej Mitrovic to Club Brugge for a fee of €3,5m.

Mitrovic had already spent the previous six months on loan with the Belgian champions and now joins them on a permanent basis. Besiktas had previously already received a €400k loan fee on top of which they now fetch a €3,5m transfer fee.

Besiktas had paid a €4,2m transfer fee to Rijeka in January 2017,b ut Mitrovic had been unable to truely impress coach Senol Günes.

He signs a 4 year contract with Club Brugge, their coach Ivan Leko was delighted with the signing, “Mitrovic immediately showed his qualities with us last season and obviously it’s a huge advantage that he’s already spent six months here, with him added to the squad the competition at the back will increase and that’s always a good thing.”.
