Liverpool head coach Jürgen Klopp made the following comments on the transfer in his post-match interview last night: “We said goodbye yesterday. It’s good for him, Loris is a fantastic goalkeeper, at a very good age. He has a good chance to win the league in Turkey, and now they have a really good keeper, so all good.”
Loris Karius will be in attendance tonight for the Beşiktaş vs Antalyaspor match at Vodafone Park at 20:45 CET. Utku Yuvakuran will be in goal as Tolga Zengin has picked up an injury and was not included in the matchday squad.
Currently there are no official financial numbers disclosed, we will report these as soon as they become available. For now, the rumoured conditions are as follows: Beşiktaş will pay Liverpool a total of €2,5m for a two-year loan. In addition if Karius plays in 50% of all matches and Beşiktaş qualify for Europe the move will automatically become permanent for an additional €8m (obligation).
