Abdullah Avci is keen on adding both a left and right winger to his squad for this upcoming season and Tyler Boyd is reportedly one of the players Beşiktaş are currently circiling.
According to the report of Murat Özen of Orta Cizgi (formerly of Haber1903), Beşiktaş have already made their offer to Boyd’s Portuguese club Vitoria Guimaeras, who are asking for a reported €2m. Özen states that Beşiktaş have made an offer and if no other club will meet Vitoria’s asking price that the player is very likely to play for the Black Eagles this coming season.
Tyler Boyd spent the second half of this past season on loan at MKE Ankaragücü and left a very positive impression. In 14 appearances for the side from the Turkish capital he scored 6 goals and provided 4 assists, playing a key part in their successful battle to stave off relegation.
Tyler Boyd also scored a brace this past week for the United States national team in their 4-0 win over Guyana in the Gold Cup. His debut for the US after switching his allegiance from playing for New Zealand.
Boyd will turn 25 in December and is a player that can play in all offensive roles, incliuding both Wings or as a lone striker.
