Beşiktaş shake hands with Molde and Martin Linnes!

Beşiktaş have reportedly held several positive meetings with Noewegian giants Molde and their young player Martin Linnes, in fact reports say that the three parties have all agreed in principle and shook hands.

Beşiktaş also want to sign an additional Turkish rightback, purely as an alternative to Linnes in league given the strict foreign limit in Turkey (5 on the pitch, 3 on the bench). Beşiktaş are looking at Erdem Özgenç of Kardemir Karabükspor and Şener Özbayraklı of Bursaspor are being looked at for this role.

Martin Linnes is a 22-year old Norwegian international. Beşiktaş International spoke to former Norwegian Beşiktaş player Arild Stavrum to gather more information about Linnes, he said the following:

“He is an excellent player. Maybe the best right back [in Norway] the last couple of seasons.”

It looks like a possible transfer of Martin Linnes will depend on which new ‘number 10’ the club transfers in the end, if Bryan Ruiz is transferred more budget will remain to spend on a rightback but if Younés Belhanda is transferred there will likely not be enough money left to spend on another player.
