Five Black Eagles featured in Turkey friendly

Beşiktaş players Oguzhan Özyakup, Ersan Gülüm, Olcay Sahan, Mustafa Pektemek and Ismail Köybasi all featured in Turkey’s 2-1 away win in Odense yesterday against Denmark.

This was Turkey’s last friendly match before starting the EURO 2016 qualifiers against Iceland next week.

Daniel Agger had opened the scoring from the penalty spot on the 35th minute for Denmark but Beşiktaş player Olcay Sahan equalized in the 55th minute for the Turks. Olcay was substituted off ten minutes later for Atlético Madrid’s Arda Turan. Bursaspor youngster Ozan Tufan decided the game in added time with a ferocious shot from outside the 18 yard box to clinch a late victory for Turkey.
