Beşiktaş set €3Mio January transfer budget

According to an article in Takvim Beşiktaş have set a €3.000.000 transfer budget for the January transfer window.

With this budget Slaven Bilic wants to attract a rightback, most probably the Norweghian international Martin Linnes, and an additional central defender with leadership capabilities.

Former captain Tomas Sivok has an expiring contract with the Black Eagles and it’s looking unlikely that he will be extending despite having shown good performances again this season after returning from an injury he suffered halfway through the 2013-2014 season which had sidelined him for nearly half of that season.

But the main priority in January will still be a player for the rightback position, if any budget is left it will likely go towards a new central defender.

Martin Linnes has been featuring regulary for the Norweghian national team so far in the EURO 2016 qualifiers, prior to the season the Black Eagles had offered nearly €1.800.000 for the 22-year old rightback. However due to a lack of alternatives in his position and the Tippeligaen being in full flow his club Molde wasn’t willing to let him go. However, they should be open to a transfer come January as the Norweghian league season will draw to a close and the player has expressed his interest in the move. It is expected that Molde will work willingly on a transfer in January.
