Friendly: Beşiktaş vs. SV Rodinghausen cancelled

Beşiktaş’ second friendly of the pre-season campaign has been cancelled. Beşiktaş was supposed to play SV Rodinghausen on wednesday the 9th of July but the local authorities deemed the match a risk as they do not believe that they have the required amount of available units to guarantee that the game will proceed safely.

The reason given for the cancellation of the friendly is that in recent years the the friendly games of the Black Eagles have attracted relatively large crowds (for friendly games) and the local Police doesn’t feel that they have the means to guarantee everyone’s safety.

Beşiktaş played a friendly game against SC Verl on the 6th of July and this game was supposed to be the second (and last, atleast confirmed) friendly in Germany before travelling to England on the 13th of July. The Germany training camp will end on the 10th of July.
