Matchday 13

The Black Eagles travel to Gaziantep today on matchday 13 of the Spor Toto Süperlig coming off two big victories against Trabzonspor (3-0) and Tottenham Hotspur (1-0) over the past week.

Despite morale being high the Eagles will have to deal with several key players being absent for this fixture. Beşiktaş will need to take all three points to remain top of table as both Fenerbahçe (4-1 at home against Sivasspor) and Galatasaray (0-5 away at Torku Konyaspor) have gotten all three points in the past two days.

Beşiktaş forward Cenk Tosun, who has scored four goals in the last three games, will return at the Kamil Oçak stadium for the first time since last season but this time around he will be among the visitors as he takes on his former club.

Demba Ba (broken toe) and Mustafa Pektemek (cheekbone fracture) both ended up on the injury list last weekend in the game against Trabzonspor and are therefore among those who didn’t travel with the team. Tomas Sivok and Veli Kavlak are also still out. Oguzhan Özyakup did travel with the team and will likely start on the bench.

Here are the players who travelled to Gaziantep:

Tolga Zengin
Emre Metin
Ersan Gülüm
Pedro Franco
Atınç Nukan
Tugay Kaya
Serdar Kurtuluş
İsmail Köybaşı
Ramon Motta
Ümit Karaal
Kerim Frei
Necip Uysal
Atiba Hutchinson
Oğuzhan Özyakup
Gökhan Töre
Olcay Şahan
Jose Sosa
Furkan Yaman
Cenk Tosun

Atinç Nukan made his european debut on Thursday, replacing Ersan Gülüm at halftime, and made a very solid impression against Tottenham Hotspur, and will be ready to step in if needed although Ersan seems ready to start in tonight’s game. Atinç also played the full 90 minutes against Sariyer in the first match of the Ziraat Turkish cup group stages (Group F, 0-4 win away at Sariyer).

Furkan Yaman also made his European debut against Tottenham Hotspur in the final minute of added time, he also made his Turkish cup debut in the second half against Sariyer last week and assisted the 4th goal (Cenk Tosun).

Tugay Kaya and Ümit Karaal also made their debut in the Turkish cup as second half substitutes.

Here are the predicted line-ups for both teams:

GAZİANTEPSPOR predicted XI: Karcemarskas, Gökhan Süzen, Gilles Binya, Şenol, Barış, Chico, Arokoyo, Erdem, Chibuike, Mustafa, İbrahim Akin

BEŞİKTAŞ predicted XI: Tolga Zengin, Motta, Ersan Gülüm, Pedro Franco, Serdar Kurtuluş, Necip Uysal, Atiba Hutchinson, Olcay Şahan, José Sosa, Gökhan Töre, Cenk Tosun
