Matchday 14

Beşiktaş face Akhisar Belediyespor on matchday 14 of the Spor Toto Süper Lig and will once again be in need of the three points to regain their leadership position at the top of the table.

The Black Eagles have won the last five league games in a row but suffered a somewhat suprising defeat during the week in the group stages of the Turkish cup at the hands of Caykur Rizespor. A game which proved very difficult for the Eagles as they had no fit first team striker and had to rely on 19-year old academy product Furkan Yaman up front, a job which proved very ungrateful for the youngster despite his hard work.

Beşiktaş will see Cenk Tosun return to the squad after he suffered an injury in last week’s away win at Gaziantepspor in the league. Several other players among which Gökhan Töre, Cenk Gönen, Veli Kavlak and Ersan Gülüm have returned to full fitness and will be able to play against Akhisar Belediyespor.

The big question on every Beşiktaş fans’ mind is “When will Demba Ba be fit?” the answer to that question is next weekend, but he may already return tomorow as a substitute but will most likely not make an appearance.

Akhisar Belediyespor are currently 10th in the league with 17 points, they had an impressive start to the season. Which was greatly helped by the goals of Theofanis Gekas, the current topscorer in the league with eleven goals, but saw a drop of form iin recent weeks costing them a spot among the top of the table.

Ramon Motta, Necip Uysal and Mustafa Pektemek are all out injured.

Beşiktaş predicted XI:

Tolga Zengin; Serdar Kurtuluş, Pedro Franco, Ersan Gülüm, Ismail Köybaşi; Atiba Hutchinson, Veli Kavlak, José Sosa; Olcay Sahan, Gökhan Töre; Cenk Tosun
