“Manuel Fernandes, Jermaine Jones, Dany Nounkeu and Hugo Almeida won’t be with us this coming season.

Beşiktaş coach Slaven Bilic gave a press conference earlier today and he answered several questions, here are the highlights of the press conference.

We’re playingt he UEFA Champions League qualifiers and we want to pass to the next round, but we’re too late with our transfers. We’re looking to make 3 or 4 transfers, our people have been working hard on finalizing these deals. Hopefully we’ll be able to do so in a short amount of time. Everyone knows Gökhan Töre is a great player, he’s done well for us. We still have plenty of time before the start of the league but for the Champions League the transfers are too late.”

“I hate the transfer period, but it is part of our job.”

“Some of you journalists write a lot of bad and wrong things about us. I have no problems with Önder Özen on the contrary to what some journalists claim.”

“If Ibrahim Üzülmez gets a function within the club I won’t mind this at all, I have a lot of respect for him.”

“Furkan Yaman and Tugay Kaya will sadly not join us on the England camp due to some issues with their visa.”

“Ümit Karaal is a young and good leftback, but we already have Ismail Koybasi and Ramon Motta for thatposition. We’re going to see if he’s able to play as a rightback instead.”

“Mustafa Pektemek has done very well since February, it’s like he’s a whole new player.”

“Musa Muhammed isn’t ready yet to play for the first team, that’s why he’s not included in the camp squad.”

As you can see nothing major was revealed, we knew for quite some time already that Fernandes, Dany, Almeida and Jones wouldn’t be with us next season. Perhaps the most informative remark made was that Tugay and Furkan won’t be joining the team in England. It’s possible that they will join KSV Roeselare somewhere in the coming week instead.
