Round of 16

Beşiktaş have travelled to Kayseri for the Round of 16 confrontation with PTT1. division leaders Kayserispor. Kayserispor ended top of the table in a group with Fenerbahçe while the Black Eagles ended in second position in their group with Rizespor.

The round of 16 will be played in one leg, while the following rounds will be played in home and away fixtures. The group winners of the group stages play a second placed team with the home advantage, hence why this match is being played at the Kadir Has in Kayseri.

Beşiktaş will have to do without first goalkeeper Tolga Zengin and creative winger Gökhan Töre who both stayed behind in Istanbul, Gökhan is suffering from some edema issues after receiving a knock in the Rizespor match on Sunday and will be rested for this weekend’s league game against Bursaspor. While Tolga Zengin is also suffering from a very minor injury, but will also be given some rest in preperation for the game with Bursaspor.

Demba Ba did travel with the team but will most likely start on the bench.

We will of course see some familiar faces in today’s game as both Bobô da Silva and Mert Nobre play for Kayserispor and are expected to start at kick-off time.

Kayserispor predicted XI:

Serdar Kulbilge; Cem Can, Marko Simiç, Mihaloviç, Alper; İbrahim, Okay, Turgut Dogan, Diego Biseswar; Nobre, Bobö

Beşiktaş predicted XI:

Cenk Gönen; Serdar, Atinç, Ersan Gülüm, Ramon Motta; Atiba Hutchinson, Tolgay, Oğuzhan; Olcay, Kerim Frei, Ugur Boral (Mustafa Pektemek)
