Beşiktaş playmaker José Ernesto Sosa was forcefully taken off during this weekend’s Süper Lig confrontation with Medicana Sivasspor after only 23 minutes.

The Argentinian number ten has suffered a first degree tear in his hamstring and will be out for atleast one to to two weeks. He therefore will certainly miss the first leg game in the UEFA Europa League round of 16 against Club Brugge on Thursday.

Tolgay Arslan is the most likely candidate to replace him in the starting eleven on Thursday. Tolgay scored the all important goal against Liverpool two weeks ago and will be looking to make an impact during Sosa’s absence to earn his spot in the team.
