UEL: Beşiktaş JK 1-3 Club Brugge

Beşiktaş looses the second leg match against Belgian side Club Brugge and resigns from the UEFA Europa League.

In the UEFA Europa League Round of 16 Beşiktaş lost their home match at the Atatürk Olympia Stadium (65.000 att.) against Belgian side Club Brugge with 1-3.
Beşiktaş started in a offensive 4-4-2 formation with Demba Ba and Mustafa Pektemek up front. After a decent first half (0-0) with positions on both sides, Beşiktaş went in front at the beginning of the second with a wide-shot from left back Ramon Motta (48.). On the other side De Sutter tied after a failed goal kick from Tolga Zengin (61.). Beşiktaş lost completely the control of the game after the 1-1 and received two more goals, scored by substitute Bolingoli-Mbombo (79.; 90.). Olcay Şahan got the red card in extra time  (90+1.).

5′ after a failed back pass from center back Pedro Franco, De Sutter failed to pass the ball against Tolga
8′ Demba Ba fouled by last man Meunier but Referee Sergey Karasev does not blow the whistle. Big mistake, clear Red Card!

48′ Goal: Motta scores with a tremendous wide shot
58′ Opare dribbles past three players into the box and passes to Pektemek, who’s shot is wide above the goal
61′ Goal: after a failed goal kick from Tolga Zengin, Simons heads the ball right back into the run of De Sutter, who scores the 1-1
70′ Meunier shoots above the goal
79′ Goal: after a pass from Rafaelov behind the defending line of Beşiktaş, Bolingoli-Mbombo finishes; 2-1
90′ Goal: Necip looses the ball right in front of the box to Bolingoli-Mbombo, who scores the 3-1
91′ Red card: Olcay is dismissed after hitting Oulare. Frustrating!
