Matchday 27

The Black Eagles won’t need to travel too far for matchday 27 as they take on Istanbul neighbours Kasimpaşa, who have changed coaches twice already this season. After a long term Shota Arveladze was replaced a few weeks ago by the Dutch coach Wouters, however he didn’t last long as he was just recently replaced by former Beşiktaş Director of Football Zafer Önder Özen. Özen ironically will make his coaching debut against his former employer and will do so with Marco ‘Mehmet’ Aurélio at his side as his assistant coach, another former Beşiktaş employee in the form of a player.

Slaven Bilic is fortunate to have recovered most of his players from injuries, Demba Ba had some issues during training earlier this week but after a medical check-up was cleared for today’s game. Tomas Sivok, who returned to the team in the last game after a lengthy injury, will also be expected in the starting eleven tonight. Atiba Hutchinson, who became father for the first time this week of a son named Noah, will most probably not play tonight. Neither will Veli Kavlak who is still suffering from a shoulder injury, Gökhan Töre will be serving a one match yellow card suspension and will most likely be replaced by Mustafa Pektemek in the starting eleven. While most field players are fit to play, Bilic still has problems between the goal posts as both Cenk Gönen and Tolga Zengin did not train witht he team this week. This will see Günay Güvenç get his second start of the season in the Süper Lig, after getting a cleansheet on his full match debut against Başakşehir two weeks ago.

Beşiktaş predicted XI:

Günay Güvenç; Serdar, Ersan Gülüm/Pedro Franco, Tomas Sivok, Ramon Motta; Tolgay Arslan, Oguzhan Özyakup/Necip Uysal, José Ernesto Sosa; Mustafa Pektemek, Olcay, Demba Ba
