After this weekend’s important victory away at Trabzonspor, two of our players were diagnosed with injuries after this important match.

Tomas Sivok left the match on a stretcher with a suspected broken right thumb, Sivok also took a knock to the face and there were suspicions of a broken nose as he left the field with bloodon his face. After being rushed to the hospital, doctors fortunately confirmed that his nose is not broken. Sivok underwent a successful operation on his broken thumb and will return to training shortly.

Daniel Opare was substituted early in the second half and had some pain and tightness in his right hamstring, after a successful MRI scan there showed to be no issues with his hamstring. This was likely just due to the lack of match fitness as Opare hasn’t played many games this season.

Veli Kavlak, who has not played for some weeks due to shoulder issues, will go to Germany and have a check-up with his physician who conducted his earlier shoulder operation. It remains to be seen for how long Veli Kavlak will be out of the squad rotation.
