Beşiktaş, who plan to sign an experienced foreign goalkeeper, have their eyes set on Mexico star goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa

The Beşiktaş board believe Tolga and Cenk’s performances have not met expectations and plan to sign a new foreign goalkeeper for the upcoming season. They have their eyes set on Malaga’s Mexican goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa.  According to the Mexican media the Black Eagles, along with Greek giants Olympiakos and PAOK aswell as a few other unnamed clubs, have begun negotiations with Malaga.

Ochoa starred for Mexico in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil and had his name linked with a lot of big European clubs. But he surprised everyone when he signed for Malaga.

After making his move to Spain things have not been going according to plan for the Mexican. Ochoa has been struggling for playing time and has found himself second choice behind current number one goalkeeper Carlos Kameni. Ochoa has not played a single league game this season, and has only played 6 games in the Spanish cup. In this 6 matches Ochoa conceded 6 goals.

Ochoa’s contract with Malaga runs until 2017 but the Spanish club are said to be looking for offers of around € 4-5 million for the Mexican goalkeeper.
