Beşiktaş reporter, Firat Günayer (@firatgunayer), tweeted out the recent developments on the head coach candidates and transfers:

“Surprisingly, the current status concerning Lucescu is positive. As I keep saying that it won’t happen, positive developments occur. There’s pretty much an agreement on a lot of the topics of wage, squad plans and the team. The most important problem at the moment is Shaktar’s chairman, Ahmedov. Lucescu passed the ball to the chairman. He said, “We can reach an agreement, but I can’t let him down. I won’t leave without him saying that I can. The reason for this attitude from Lucescu is cause of their friendship with the chairman. Fikret Orman is going to come together with Ahmedov soon. If he convinces the chairman, Lucescu won’t be a small chance. If Lucescu doesn’t work out, the biggest candidate is Şenol Güneş. If both don’t work out, the new head coach will be somebody who isn’t a stranger to Turkey”

“It’s true that Liverpool’s Martin Skrtel has been suggested to the club via agents. However, there won’t be anything official until the coach comes. It’s also true that Beşiktaş is interested in Ryan Babel and Tunay Torun from Kasımpaşa. There could be a player trade to get them. Ömer Şişmanoğlu, who’ll be returning from loan, will be the first option. Lastly, you can see many players for sale next season. All of the offers will be evaluated.”
