Ryan Babel’s agent Willie Haatrecht has revealed that his client has rejected a 3-year contract offer from Beşiktaş.

Haatrecht revealed that Ryan Babel has a clause in his Kasimpaşa contract which would allow the 28-year old left winger to buy off his contract.

Because the Black Eagles are not allowed to pay any transfer fee’s per UEFA Financial Fairplay sanction, untill they sell some of their current players, the Black Eagles are not able to pay a transfer fee for the former Liverpool, Hoffenheim and Ajax man.

Haatrecht was quoted by De Telegraaf: “Ryan rejected a first 3-year offer from Beşiktaş as it was not financially attractive enough to envoke his contract clause.”.

Babel and his agent are waiting for a new and improved offer from the Black Eagles, whether that will come is another question as Beşiktaş are looking in to a lot of different players aswell.

Ryan Babel has been playing in Turkey since 2013, this season he featured in 29 league matches for his club Kasimpaşa in which he scored 9 goals and assisted 5 more. Babel revealed earlier that he wants to leave his current club and has attracted interest from both Beşiktaş and Galatasaray.
