Musa Muhammed, who trained with both the Beşiktaş youth and senior squad on trial, did not agree terms with Beşiktaş due to his manager asking for too much money.

Musa, who is considered a hot prospect for the future, is about to sign for Başakşehir for 3 years. Beşiktaş officials said, “He could be transferred when we were looking for a right back but his manager was a huge hurdle for the transfer to go through.”.

Beşiktaş didn’t sign Opare and are still looking for a player who can become the first choice rightback ahead of Serdar Kurtuluş, who has played a lot of matches last year.

Beşiktaş officials consider Musa to be better and more offensive than Opare, “If Musa was here today, the budget we left for right back would be in the safe. Unfortunately one of the biggest problems in football is the desire of managers to earn more and more money.”.

Musa Muhammed captained the Nigeria U20 squad during the U20 World Cup.

Ege Erdoğan’s opinion

Got to say this, this man could have been very efficient for us. He is fast, he is good at shooting and taking set pieces, something we lack. Also he is not like Opare, he has a lath and he never plays under that lath. His performance is stable, not in waves like Opare, look at his performance against Liverpool and Galatasaray, two different performances. He was a hot prospect that we can snatch up for free and sell for much more but it didn’t happen. Let’s hope that we won’t be so regretful for not signing him, no matter what happened.
