It was reported yesterday by Gianluca Di Marzio that Beşiktaş officials had travelled to Brazil to finalize the transfer of Grémio captain Rhodolfo and today it has become clear that Grémio have already started the process of finding a replacement for their captain as they have started negotiations with Felipe Santana.

Luiz Rhodolfo has been left out of the matchday squad tonight for Grémio’s match against Chapecoense due to an alleged “injury”. This could be legit however as Rhodolfo was substituted off this past weekend after 84 minutes as Grémio won 1-3 away at Santos.

According to Brazilian media, Grémio have accepted a € 3 million offer from the Black Eagles for their captain and the player has already agreed personal terms with Beşiktaş.

Rhodolfo has been at Grémio since 2013 after joining them from São Paolo.
