Kostas Mitroglou no longer an option for Beşiktaş

Beşiktaş have decided to no longer pursue Kostas Mitroglou and have permanently removed them from their transfer agenda.

President Fikret Orman has personally travelled to London today in order to negotiate with Chelsea over the transfer of Loïc Rémy, who is the main focus for the forward position.

Rémy is keen on the move, Beşiktaş want to loan the player. The only obstacle at this point is Chelsea’s asking price of € 11 million if Beşiktaş decide to buy him at the end of the loan period. Orman is currently working on decreasing this buyout clause to an acceptable amount.

The fact that Mitroglou has been permanently scratched from the list could indicate that an agreement over Rémy is very close.
