Beşiktaş travelled to Athens to play their final friendly of the pre-season before kciking off the 2015-2016 Süper lig season in seven days away at Mersin Idmanyurdu.

Both teams were held scoreless in the opening 45 minutes with the best chance falling for Beşiktaş’ new striker Mario Gómez, but Olympiakos goalkeeper Roberto had a very good save to keep the German off the scoresheet. The home side got off the mark through Alfred Finnbogason in the 59th minute, only to see Necip Uysal evening things up for Beşiktaş three minutes before the full-time whistle. However, a 90th-minute penalty-kick from Fuster, caused by a big mistake from Ramon Motta, put Olympiacos back in the lead for good.

Beşiktaş XI: Tolga Zengin; Andreas Beck, Rhodolfo (85′ Milosevic), Ersan Gülüm (73′ Pedro Franco), Dusko Tosic (46′ Ramon Motta); Atiba Hutchinson (85′ Mustafa Pektemek), Necip Uysal, Oguzhan Özyakup (73′ Serdar Kurtulus); Ricardo Quaresma (63′ Olcay Sahan), Gökhan Töre (63′ Kerim Frei), Mario Gómez (63′ Cenk Tosun)
