Şenol Güneş sets sights on Serdar Aziz

Beşiktaş is looking great offensively this season, but the defense isn’t looking quite as good so far. The Black Eagles conceded three very simple goals during the derby against Kasımpaşa and head coach Şenol Güneş has reportedly spoken with president Fikret Orman about the defensive issues of his team after the game.

Güneş reportedly said this to Orman: “Even if we would have won the game against Kasımpaşa, I would still have brought up our defensive issues. Especially in the centre of the defence Rhodolfo, Ersan and Milosevic are doing everything they can. However, I need a fast central defender like Serdar Aziz. I would like you to get him for our team if this is possible.”

Orman apparently responded positively, saying: “I will do everything I can to get Serdar Aziz during the winter break.”

It remains to be seen whether Orman can actually pull this off, since Bursaspor president Recep Bölükbaşı already stopped the transfer of Ozan Tufan to Besiktas this past summer, who then moved to rivals Fenerbahçe. Orman will therefore have to carefully plan this transfer.
