Beşiktaş winger Olcay Şahan is set to make his return to the European football stage after a 3 match absence due to suspension.

The 28 year old Turkish international was serving a 3 match suspension following his direct red card in the dying minutes against Club Brugge after a dissapointing 1-3 defeat at the Atatürk Olimpiyat stadium.

Olcay couldn't contain his dissapointment and frustration after the devastating defeat at the hands of Club Brugge and saw a direct red card.

Olcay Şahan could not temper his frustration against Club Brugge resulting in a direct red card for which he received a 3 match suspension.

Olcay played in every single one of the Black Eagles’ European outings last season, 14 in total, in which he managed to provide 4 assists to his teammates but was unable to get on the scoresheet himself. In fact, in a total of 16 European matches, Olcay is yet to score his first ever goal. Undoubtedly a feat he will be wanting to cross off of his bucket list, will he manage to do so in the upcoming 3 games and help the Black Eagles to secure qualification to the next round?

So far Olcay has featured in every single one of the Black Eagles’ Süper Lig fixtures this season in which he scored 3 and assisted 3 more.

With Ricardo Quaresma’s injury in training last night it seems highly likely that Olcay will be making his return to the European stage this Thursday in the Atatürk Olimpiyat against Lokomotiv Moscow; a must win match for Beşiktaş.
