The Black Eagles today also won their second game in the Ziraat Türkiye Küpasi group stages, although it did not become a goalfest as was probably expected by most.

The horrendous pitch conditions simply did not allow for good technical football to be played, the pitch was literally more sand than grass and much like Monday it seemed that most of our players did not want to risk an injury and played the entire game with the breaks on.

Despite that it wasn’t a very difficult match for the Black Eagles who already opened the scoring after just 6 minutes of play, Cenk Tosun scored his third in the Turkish cup this season and his 10th in total in all competitions.

Eight minutes later the hosts were reduced to 10 men after Melih brought down Cenk Tosun who was through on goal, after a quick chat with his linesman referee Erkin Engin showed the red card to defender Nuri Melih.

Both strikers got on the scoresheet today, although they probably would have liked to bag a few more against today's opposition.

Beşiktaş patiently continued to create some goalscoring opportunities but saw a Ramon Motta goal disallowed for offside, while a penalty shout from Mustafa Pektemek was waved away moments later.

Günay Güvenç also had a bit of work on the day, with a few good saves and Sivas Belediyespor had two penalty shouts of their own turned down.

In the second half t he Black Eagles continued as they had in the firs thalf and found their second goal in the 57th minute, this time it was Mustafa Pektemek who got on the end of an excellent Dusko Tosic cross to score his first of the season.

Mustafa Pektemek was later denied by the woodwork and goalkeeper Serkan to get on the scoresheet a second time.

In the 76th minute Alexander Milosevic saw a direct red card after planting his studs on the heel of an opponent, which will see him miss atleast the next League game against Konyaspor and probably the next cup game aswell.

Şenol Güneş used only two of his available three substitutions and had brought on Muhammed Enes for Necip in the 61st minute and Hamza Küçükköylu for Cenk Tosun in the 75th minute.

Beşiktaş and 1461 Trabzon have now won both their opening matches in Group C, with 1461 Trabzon leading the standings on goal difference after having scored a total of 12 goals already and conceding 1. While the Black Eagles scored 5 and conceded none.
