Beşiktaş have been searching for a new central defender to acquire in this transfer window. One of the possible candidates is Douglas Silva, with whom an agreement was reached, but the club hasn’t been able to convince Dnipro about the transfer fee so far. It is now being reported that Kamil Glik is also being regarded as a possible option for the position of central defender.

According to the Polish Sport Interia, Beşiktaş have made a move to transfer Glik. Norwich City and Stuttgart were reportedly also interested in the services of the Torino player. Rivals Galatasaray were also interested in the Polish defender at the start of the season, but couldn’t get the deal done.

Torino president Urbano Cairo said the following about Glik in April 2015: “I know that Kamil and his family are happy to be in Turin. I always want to keep players like him at the club. Kamil is going to be our captain for a long time.”

Glik is 27 years old and still has a contract until 2020 with Torino. He has played in 154 games for the Italian club since 2011 and has scored 13 goals, he is also their current captain. Torino have already come out and said that they are not looking to let go of Glik during the current transfer window.
