Beşiktaş have played their last few ‘home’ games of the 2015-2016 season in the Başakşehir Fatih Terim Stadium, since the Vodafone Arena isn’t expected to be finished until March this year. Beşiktaş had agreed with Medipol Başakşehir that they could play the last home games of the first half of this season in their stadium. The question was therefore if the Black Eagles would now return to the Atatürk Olimpiyat Stadium.

Medipol Başakşehir president Göksel Gümüşdağ has now made a statement that Beşiktaş can continue to play in his club’s stadium this season for as long as needed.

Here is what Gümüşdağ had to say: “We gave our stadium to Beşiktaş for 3 more matches. If the Vodafone Arena doesn’t make it in time, they can play here until the end of this season. Our clubs are now brothers.”
