Denys Boyko and his agent adress transfer rumours

Updated: January 14, 2016

Today Beşiktaş target Denys Boyko, who plays for Dnipro Dnipropretovsk, and his agent Vadim Shabliy adressed the transfer rumours surrounding the 27 year old Ukraine international goalkeeper. Both Boyko and Shabliy are currently in Turkey, Boyko is on training campw ith his team in Antalya and Shabliy is still in Turkey after finalizing a deal with Eskisehirspor a few days ago for another one of his clients.

Vadim Shabliy spoke to Sport Arena and had the following to say regarding a potnetial transfer for his client Denys Boyko: “We’re speaking to clubs from European leagues, one in particular. I expect there to be a final decision in the next couple of days. Denys is one step removed from joining a foreign club. There are also a lot of rumours linking Denys with a move to Dynamo Kyiv, but there is no offer on the table nor interest from Dynamo.”

There are also several quotes supposedly from Denys Boyko, whether these are legitimate is something we have not been able to confirm. So please, keep that in mind.

Denys Boyko: “Yes, it’s true that I have an offer from Beşiktaş. They really want me, I’ve already spoken to the manager and their coach. There are some great players at Beşiktaş like Mario Gómez and Ricardo Quaresma. The Turkish league is also a strong one. Beşiktaş want to buy me and I want to play there. However, I’m not aware of the current state of the negotiation progress, I hope to find out fairly soon.”.

Besides Beşiktaş, Denys Boyko is also linked with Spanish club Sevilla. The Spaniards confirmed their interest in Boyko last week, however it has been extremely quiet since then. There was also rumoured interest from Premier League side Everton, but that never seems to have materialized. Beşiktaş do seem to be the front runners for the Ukraine international goalkeeper right now.

These quotes from Denys Boyko were published by and translated by FutbolUkraine on Twitter.
