Rumours about a transfer of duo Douglas Silva and Denys Boyko to Beşiktaş have been circulating for several weeks, but only goalkeeper Boyko was actually signed. The remaining question was if Douglas would still be transferred, but that seemed unlikely after central defender Alexis Delgado joined the team. It is now being reported that Douglas will not join Beşiktaş after all, despite a message from the manager of the Dnipro player.

According to Habertürk, Douglas’ manager Malik Artyunov told Beşiktaş that Dnipro is ready to decrease their demanded transfer fee. The transfer of Douglas to Beşiktaş was after all stopped because Dnipro would not lower their demanded price. Beşiktaş have however told Artyunov that they have given up on the transfer of Douglas.
