Beşiktaş – Gaziantepspor post match reactions

Updated: February 7, 2016

Mario Gomez

“We played class football.”

“It wasn’t easy. Two of our matches were postponed. We played well. We could’ve scored more. We still have things we need to develop. Everything aside, we made a good start to the second half of the season. I’m working hard and trying to stay concentrated. We find chances every match. I need to be ready to score. My friends make good assists and all that’s left for me to do is score them. I’m going to continue to work. The football we’re playing pleases me. I’m sure that we’ll become champions at the end of the season.”

Tolga Zengin

“It was nice to win in the week our opponents dropped points.”

“We didn’t play a league match for a long time. It was a good start. We need to continue until the end of the season like this. Competition develops the team. Everything is for Beşiktaş’ championship.”

Marcelo Guedes

“I’m glad to be a part of Beşiktaş.”

“I’m very happy. It’s nice to be a piece of this team and contribute. We made a strong start. We have goals. We’re going to reach these goals soon. There wasn’t a problem adapting to the defense. I’m going to get better.”

Ismail Köybaşı

“We played enthusiastic football.”

“Rhodolfo is a disciplined player with a lot of character. His injury made us really sad. The tough process is about to start for him. With the help of us and his family, he’ll get back up on his feet. I would like to thank our fans. We gift this win to them.”

Şenol Güneş

“We’ll be better if we stick together.”

“We played the first match of the second half. We wanted to start off well and finish well. We have strengths and weaknesses. We need to give our opponent less chances. Football is a game. We got a win we deserved. We played against a team who tried to get out by passing when we pressured them. There was clear chances that we gave. The whole team had good intentions. As a team, everybody was good. As of today, this match is done. I thank everybody. I’m sad about Ersan leaving. He was a good player and a good person. He contributed to the team with his presence. He left on a good note. He’ll be an example for every player. A decision like this is being made according to the club and player’s situation. It needs to be respected. The new players were also quite good.”
