Şenol Güneş: “We were in control since the start of the game. We defended in the last 10 minutes and made some mistakes then. We had some difficulties on our left wing. If we had scored goals with our attacks, the game would have been killed off. We could have ended a match like this with a bigger margin and without conceding a goal. A big team shouldn’t give away chances. We deserved the win. I thank all my players. Kerim worked hard. He did things right and wrong at times during the match. All players are ours. The important thing is what the player who is on the pitch does. Ricardo and Gökhan are class players, of course they are important. The important thing however is what the player who is on the pitch offers. If Beck would have gotten yellow, he would have been suspended for the Trabzonspor game. Our new players can’t play because their license wasn’t out. We are going to play for the win. Marcelo and Delgado’s absence will be difficult for us. ”

Marcelo Guedes: “We were in control of the game in general. Rizespor pressed in the end and found a goal. We will have a lot of games of this type after this. We should continue in the same way and go for the championship. I’m sad that I can’t play in the Trabzonspor match, but the player who replaces me won’t let us feel my absence. These two games are very important and we won the first one.”

Kerim Frei: “We totally dominated the match. I was in the starting 11 for the first time in a long time. We started well and I scored my goal. Our level dropped in the last 15 minutes because of fatigue. I’m happy we won. It isn’t easy to stay ready mentally. You should always keep working. I dropped physically in the last 15 minutes of the game. The team’s general performance made me happy.”
