Şenol Güneş: “We were the better side in terms of possession and chances. We scored three goals but had to score much more. The opponent fought well, but we broke their resistance. Our fans contributed to the game in a positive way. My players showed how eager they were. We grabbed a deserved victory. Quaresma’s first card was very unnecessary. He got another one at the end of the game. This is a bad thing, it shouldn’t happen.”

Mario Gómez: “I will tell you something, my friend messaged me and said “if you didn’t make it, I would kill you”. I asked “Why?” and he said “Because Sosa was next to you completely open”, that just shows you I was 100% focused on scoring. Normally I have to pass to Sosa but I was only focussed on the keeper and scoring the goal. I had this feeling that I 100% wanted to score today, not necessarily the first goal because for me only the championship counts. But I wanted to score and contribute to the victory, we could have won more comfortably but we wasted too many chances. I don’t want to talk about Fenerbahçe every week, it is very easy for us to count; if we win all our matches we will be Champions. We need to be 100% focused on ourselves, this victory will help us a lot. We were down a bit after Kasimpasa. But with this victory we now have the confidence to win these last six games and be the Champions. Harun made 2-3 great saves before this already and he made another one here. I was trying to wait to see what he would do, but he didn’t move an inch. I changed my mind at the last second and then you miss. I wanted to shoot to the left but I changed and this is the worst thing you can do, but luckily the ball came back to me in the end.”

Olcay Şahan: “Our fans’ support was amazing. The pressure of our fans when the Bursaspor players had the ball was great. We felt they were going to make mistakes. We played with 12 men today. We won this game for them. Our longing is finally over. Nobody has suffered the way we have. We want to celebrate the championship here. We deserved the 3 points.”

Alexis Delgado: “We’re happy that we won. I feel very lucky for having scored a goal. It’s hard to describe my feelings. I want to thank our fans. I didn’t have the chance to play in our old stadium, but my friends told me about it.”
