As Beşiktaş are closing in on their first Turkish championship since the 2008-2009 season, Veli Kavlak has had a disappointing season behind him. After a should injury late last season Veli has missed a good 9 months. Costing him his place in the starting eleven this season.

Beşiktaş coach Şenol Güneş has found a successful combination in midfield with Atiba, Oğuzhan and Sosa and has refused to tamper with his winning formula. Both Veli Kavlak and Tolgay Arslan, who missed the first half of the season due to injury, have been a victim of the team’s success and have been unable to regain a regular place in the team.

LAOLA1’s Jakob Faber from Austria is now reporting that Veli Kavlak’s agency “Cosmosports” stated that their client has attracted the interest of his former coach Slaven Bilic’s West Ham United and Everton, both from the English Premier League, aswell as a club from the German Bundesliga.

Veli Kavlak stated “he was like a father to me” about Slaven Bilic, who got the best out of him at Beşiktaş. About his shoulder injury he said “I lost a lot of time due to the injury, it’s a time I want to put behind me and forget about.”.

Despite the interest in Veli Kavlak, LAOLA1 report that a departure this summer seems unlikely. Veli Kavlak has won two Austrian titles with Rapid Wien and is set to win his first Turkish title with Beşiktaş, who only need one point to secure their 2015-2016 championship.
