Beşiktaş players on their way out

With the 2015/16 season having concluded by winning the Süper Lig title, the Black Eagles are bolstering their side for the upcoming season in which they’ll be hoping to defend their domestic title and show themselves in a positive way in the UEFA Champions League. With that, many players are being linked with a move to the Black Eagles, but there are also those who are likely to depart this Summer. Below is a list of those most likely to leave over the Summer transfer window.

  • Denys Boyko: The Ukrainian international did not find the desired success at Beşiktaş after joining them this past winter and has submitted a transfer request, with Everton being mentioned as one of his possible suitors.
  • Gökhan Töre: it’s no secret that Slaven Bilic wants him at West Ham United and Atlético Madrid have also been heavily interested in his services over the past months. Gökhan is likely to be sold if a good offer (€17M+?) comes allong, West Ham are keen on him this Summer.
  • Veli Kavlak: Following his shoulder injury last season and missing the first half of the 2015/16 season, Veli has found it hard to regain his place in the team. He wants to stay but with the prospect of not finding himself with too much playing time this coming season he may be tempted by a move, with again Slaven Bilic’s West Ham United being interested.
  • İsmail Köybaşı: İsmail has an expiring contract and has recently been linked with a move to Belgian side Anderlecht, he spent the majority of this past season as a starter but the Black Eagles are expected to bring in a new leftback regardless of whether he stays or doesn’t. Contract talks have been ongoing but İsmail has reportedly been asking for too much money.
  • Serdar Kurtuluş: Another player with an expiring contract, Serdar might stay if he’ll accept a lower salary but will have to settle for a place on the bench or even in stands if Gökhan Gönul were to be brought in. There have been no strong rumours surrounding a move away for him, but he would surely have no trouble finding a new club in the Süper Lig.
  • Mustafa Pektemek: Mustafa Pektemek has found himself with very little playing time this past season compared to under Slaven Bilic and the Black Eagles might look to bring in a new third striker this Summer. Mustafa has been previously linked with moves to Gençlerbirligi and Başakşehir but his wages may pose a problem. A loan move with Beşiktaş still covering part of his wages doesn’t seem unrealistic at this point.
  • Alexis Delgado: The Spaniard was brought in this past Winter transfer window from La Liga side Getafe but has failed to impress, it is expected that he will be put on the transfer list this Summer.
  • Marcelo Guedes: Beşiktaş loaned Marcelo from Hannover this past Winter and the Brazilian has done an adequate job, he has made it known that he’d like to remain with the Black Eagles and it’s currently being considered to use his €1,2 million buyout clause, but a return to Hannover is certainly not out of the question at this point.
