Beşiktaş intend to use Marcelo’s contract clause

NTV Spor reported today that Beşiktaş have decided to use the option in Marcelo’s contract to make his stay at the club a permanent one.

Beşiktaş loaned Marcelo from Hannover 96 in January and the Brazilian defender has made a case for making his stay permanent with some solid performances. Beşiktaş will pay a transfer fee of € 1,2 million to Hannover. Alexander Milosevic, who was loaned to Hannover in exchange, will return to the Black Eagles as his loan deal did not include an option to buy.

Marcelo made 16 appearances for Beşiktaş, getting on the score sheet twice (both goals coming in the Championship match against Osmanlispor).
