Beşiktaş star Ricardo Quaresma, who has been in tremendous form during the lead up to Portugal’s EURO 2016 campaign, has picked up an unfortunate injury ahead of Tuesday’s clash with Iceland.

Hopes in Portugal are extremely high to see Quaresma and Cristiano Ronaldo lead the charge during their EURO campaign, an overwhelming 97% of voters on a recent poll wants to see Quaresma start alongside Ronaldo. Those people now may have to settle for atleast one more match with Luis Nani up top next to Ronaldo as Quaresma picked up an injury during training today.

Portugal coach Santos insists that Quaresma’s injury “isn’t serious” and that “he may play tomorow”. Quaresma however spent today’s training separate from the team and only did some mild jogging exercises according to Tom Kundert of Portugoal.net.
