The Czech Republic took control of the match and managed to create several chances but both the bar and Volkan Babacan prevented the Czechs from finding an equalizer.

In the second half Turkey found that all important second goal despite the Czechs still having the better of the play, Ozan Tufan put the Turks 2-0 up which pretty muched sealed the Czech Republic’s faith and also put Turkey in to a potential round of 16 spot.

Oguzhan Özyakup, Cenk Tosun and Olcay Şahan all came in as second half substitutes for Turkey, ending the game with 4 Black Eagles on the pitch with İsmail Köybaşı putting in a man of the match performance.
