‘José Sosa close to AC Milan switch’

According to SportItalia’s Michele Criscitiello, Beşiktaş’ Argentine midfielder José Ernesto Sosa is close to an AC Milan switch this summer.

Milan’s CEO Adriano Galliani, who is also eyeing a move for Mario Gómez, would be willing to pay between 7 and 8 million euros for the 31 year old attacking midfielder. Sosa played a key part in Beşiktaş’ title success this past season and scored nine goals and provided fourteen assists in all competitions (41 appearances).

José Sosa has been recently rumoured with a departure from the club as he would like to move closer to home after the birth of his now seven month old twins. His former club Estudiantes have been repeatedly linked with a move for him and he has expressed his desire to return to Argentina. A move to Milan therefore seems quite unlikely, but a move away from the Black Eagles this summer seems less unlikely.
