Beşiktaş have appointed Marjan Mrmic as their new goalkeeper coach, replacing José Sambade. Mrmic is currently also the goalkeeper coach of the Croatian national football team.

Marjan Mrmic spent two seasons at Beşiktaş as a player between 1996 and 1998 before ending his playing career in 2000. Since then Mrmic has been on the coaching staff for Croatia for the past 15 years. It is expected (but this was not disclosed by the club) that Mrmic will continue his career with the national team and combine his duties with club and country.
