Loïc Rémy will be targeted by Beşiktaş should the Turkish Champions fail to complete a permanent deal for Mario Gómez this summer.

The German forward impressed for Beşiktaş on loan from Fiorentina last term, but the two clubs have yet to agree a fee.

Chelsea are willing to sell Rémy, who has started just nine League games since joining from Queens Park Rangers for £10.5m in 2014.

The French striker had a number of injury problems last term, although he hasn’t given up on succeeding at the club.

He said: “Last year was very difficult for me because I had a lot of injuries, but this is a new page now. I hope to stay free from injuries and to have a better season.
“I feel very good. The preparations are very different to what we did last season and the one before.

“All the players want to be involved in the new project, the commitment is there and there is no reason for us not to be ready for the first game of the season.”
