After Mario Gómez announcing his decision to leave the club due to the political unrest in Turkey earlier tonight, Beşiktaş are wasting no time on finding his replacement and have set their sights on Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony.

The Ivory Coast international still has a contract until 2019 with the Citizens and Beşiktaş are planning on making a season long loan offer for the 27 year old striker.

Prior to joining Manchester City, Bony played for Sparta Prague, Vitesse and Swansea. During the 2012/13 season he impressed in the Dutch league by scoring 37 goals for Vitesse before joining Swansea. In 2014 he’d make the move from Swansea to Manchester City for a 30 million euro transfer fee.

Wilfried Bony featured in 34 matches for Manchester City this season in all competitions, he scored eight goals and provided four assists.
