After a 10 day training camp in Austria and a return in Istanbul, Beşiktaş have turned their sights to transfers yet again. At the last day of camp head coach Şenol Güneş made it clear during an interview that the team still needs more players and that the squad is insufficient for the Champions League, especially requesting a new striker.

Güneş definitely wants a new striker to join the team before the Super Cup game against Galatasaray on August 13. Beşiktaş have negotiated with a lot of different players so far, but the 2 names that look closest are those of Samuel Eto’o and Loïc Rémy.

Eto’o is really looking forward to become a Black Eagle, but Antalyaspor does not want to let him go without receiving a transfer fee. The Beşiktaş board will reportedly make their move according to what happens with Eto’o. They are meeting up with the 35 year old Cameroonian and are asking him to resolve his transfer fee issue.

Meanwhile president Fikret Orman and official Metin Albayrak went to England to meet up with Chelsea officials to talk about the transfer of Rémy, but they could initially not make a loan deal happen. In the upcoming days another move is going to be made for 29 year old French man to try to convince Chelsea.

José Sosa’s situation still remains unclear. The midfielder still wants to leave the club after meeting up with Ahmet Nur Çebi and apparently AC Milan wants to make a final offer for him. If this last offer will not be accepted, Sosa will definitely not leave the club and the question remains what will happen then.
