Beşiktaş eyeing three central defenders

Beşiktaş are eyeing three players to strengthen the heart of their defensive line. The Black Eagles have renewed their interest in Barcelona defender Jérémy Mathieu and are also eyeing two other players.

Jérémy Mathieu had previously turned down the offer from Beşiktaş to bolster their ranks, however with the now finalized transfer of Adriano it looks like the Frenchman could be reconsidering a move to Istanbul. If Mathieu gives Beşiktaş positive feedback now that Adriano has told him about the club and Istanbul, they will once again sit around the table with his club Barcelona.

But Mathieu isn’t the only option which Beşiktaş are exploring, they have forwarded an initial offer for Dynamo Kiev’s Croatian defender Domagoj Vida. Beşiktaş offered Kiev 2 million euros plus goalkeeper Denys Boyko, however the Ukraine giants turned down the initial offer. Depending on how the talks with Mathieu proceed, Beşiktaş will be looking to make a new offer for Vida.

If neither talks concerning Mathieu or Vida turn out positive, Beşiktaş will turn their attention to Lazio Roma’s 27 year old Brazilian defender Mauricio.
