Still looking for a new central defender, Beşiktaş have turned their sights to China once again. The club is trying to loan Gil from his club Shandong Luneng.

After meeting up with around 10 players in the past 2 months, the club has now started negotations to try and loan the 29 year old Brazilian. It is being reported that the first meeting between Beşiktaş and Shandong went well and that Gil’s wish to leave China makes this transfer’s chance of happening bigger. It is being expected that after the final negotations this week the Black Eagles will loan Gil for 1 year.

Gill moved to China in January this year, with Shandong paying his former club Corinthians a transfer fee of € 8 million. He still has a contract until 2020 with the club.
