According to a report from NTV Spor Beşiktaş have frozen the contract of midfielder Veli Kavlak following the need for another surgery.

Veli Kavlak will undergo a fifth surgery in less than two years after getting injured during the second half of the 2014/15 season in a match against Fenerbahçe. Veli has struggled with what seems to be a chronic shoulder injury and an initial surgery did not succeed, subsequently the Austrian international had 3 more surgeries but it seems that those didn’t solve the problem either.

Veli Kavlak has played 5 matches since his initial surgery and has missed a total of 55 official matches. Beşiktaş now plan to freeze the 28-year old’s contract until January.
