Beşiktaş to face Adanaspor with experimental back four

Beşiktaş face Adanaspor on Saturday on matchday 11 of the Turkish Süper Lig and will have to do so with an experimental back four following the exclusion of Luiz Rhodolfo, Dusko Tosic and Adriano Correia from the match squad.

The Black Eagles arrived earlier on Friday in Adana and were greated warmly by their fans and fans of Adanaspor’s fierce rivals Adana Demirspor. The team however travelled without first team regular Dusko Tosic, Adriano and Rhodolfo. There has been no mention of injury problems with any of these players and it has been reported by Firat Günayer that coach Şenol Güneş has chosen not to risk these players ahead of the Black Eagles’ crucial Champions League match with Benfica on Wednesday.

Due to Caner Erkin’s injury and Adriano’s absence Beşiktaş will be forced to play a non natural left-back in said position tomorow. During last weekend’s friendly encounter with AZ Alkmaar Şenol Güneş already experimented with Andreas Beck in that position and it looks extremely likely that he will start there tomorow. In addition Necip Uysal is also still suffering from a minor injury which would in turn open the doors for Atinç Nukan to make his first start of the season in an official match.

Beşiktaş are expected to field the following starting eleven tomorow: Fabricio; Gökhan Gönül – Marcelo Guedes – Atinç Nukan – Andreas Beck; Atiba Hutchinson – Oguzhan Özyakup – Tolgay Arslan; Ricardo Quaresma – Cenk Tosun – Vincent Aboubakar.
